This popular viral was originally produced by SYF for LEGO/SONY/Marvel to promote the theatrical release of Spider-Man 2 (2004), but has since developed a life of its own, making numerous broadcast and festival appearances. The alternate-ending cut is also available on this site, as well as the rest of our world famous LEGO spots.
Trivia: This was the first ever animation anywhere to use the new 'fleshy' non-yellow LEGO minifigs!

Doubtless our most recognised film thanks to its ongoing fame via the Holy Grail DVD/Blue-Ray release, but also via countless tv broadcast appearances worldwide. The short has also been featured on a number of magazine cover discs (remember those?) and in the days before Youtube, could be found at the very top of the charts on Yahoo Movies, iFilm, Atom Films and Veoh. Today it continues to viral, inspiring imitators and even fan sequels.
TV continuity spot for the BBC. Directed by Tony Mines for Tandem Films. The piece is for the food show Market Kitchen, and consists of a single 30 second shot in which we pass from Spring through to Winter. We used stop-motion animation to play with the idea of ‘simulated’ time-lapse photography, but at the same time, broke away from the confines of linear time to create a nonsensical, magical depiction of the passing of seasons.
Commercial spot for TV and Cinema, directed by Tony Mines for Tandem Films. In the tradition of SYF’s own LEGO work, the piece is another classic-film remake, but this time using hand animated fuzzy-felt pieces.
Thrill, as the funny bovine follows the famous journey of Steve McQueen across the border, in this shot-for-shot remake of the legendary Great Escape sequence.

Official LEGO The Empire Strikes Back skit. Produced for LEGO and Lucasfilm in 2002 to coincide with the theatrical release of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Stop-motion animation.
At time of release, this was only the second time in Star Wars history that a short film had been commisioned under license, preceding the Clone Wars tv shorts, and following the Boba Fett cartoon from the Star Wars Holiday Special way back in 1977.
